It’s taken us a few days to get back on track after last week’s Speciality and Fine Food Fair at Olympia.

The show closed on Tuesday, and we decided that we’d be better off taking our time packing up and staying an extra night in London so that we drove home on Wednesday morning instead of at the end of a long day.

Wednesday was spent unpacking and organising everything we’d had on the stand – washing sample tubs, tablecloths and cleaning shelving and display stands.

We finally had an opportunity to go through all the leads we’d generated and start following up on Thursday and Friday. Phew!

Tomorrow it’s back to the kitchen to continue the festive preparations and to start getting ready for the consumer shows. Our next major show is the Chocolate Show in mid October, so we need to ramp up production ready for this and have our Festive collections ready to go. We’ll have the Festive chocolates available online shortly, both as part of the Pick Your Own option and as the 12 and 24 boxed collections, so watch this space for a launch date.

Choctails® was founded by husband and wife team Simon and Hilary Delamare. Simon's suggestion of putting cocktail flavours into chocolate took Hilary's chocolate-making hobby to new heights, until in May 2012, the decision was made to turn the hobby into a full time business. The domestic kitchen became a production factory by day, and the dining room was given up to become a place where hand-made chocolate is crafted
