Sandringham Christmas Food Fair

Another chilly weekend, and this time in a large marquee, so thermals were a must. This event was a 3-day show, so Thursday was set-up day. The sat nav decided to take me the most direct route but not the quickest, as I ended up on some very narrow tracks as opposed to dual carriageways and main roads. I’ll be ignoring that option on the way back on Sunday, in the dark!

We had a busy Friday with a good crowd of people there to shop. Saturday was much busier, but with less spending and more sampling. Sunday we had a wash-out, so only the most dedicated shoppers turned up. This did at least mean we could pack up a little earlier and be away promptly, but sliding through the mud as we left was a little precarious.

Back home via the main roads, and now we’ve got a very speedy turnaround before the BBC Good Food Show next weekend. It’s going to be a very busy couple of days in the Choctails kitchen!!

Choctails® was founded by husband and wife team Simon and Hilary Delamare. Simon's suggestion of putting cocktail flavours into chocolate took Hilary's chocolate-making hobby to new heights, until in May 2012, the decision was made to turn the hobby into a full time business. The domestic kitchen became a production factory by day, and the dining room was given up to become a place where hand-made chocolate is crafted
