Ice, Ice, Baby

Icy mornings and snow has meant a week of avoiding going outside at all costs, and enjoying the occasional steaming hot chocolate to keep the cold out! We’ve been working on some new caramel ideas this week, which means lots of pans of bubbling sugars around the kitchen – a great way to keep warm!

We’ve also got a few weddings coming up, so they need to be diarised and planned to make sure everything arrives in time – we absolutely don’t want to add to the bride’s stress levels!

In between kitchen time January is also a huge planning month, getting a business plan in place and our social media calendar organised. We’ve got a few new ideas for our Facebook page, which we’ll roll out over the next few weeks, including a Tuesday Choctail and we’ll be bringing back the Friday Cocktail, so keep an eye on that.

Choctails® was founded by husband and wife team Simon and Hilary Delamare. Simon's suggestion of putting cocktail flavours into chocolate took Hilary's chocolate-making hobby to new heights, until in May 2012, the decision was made to turn the hobby into a full time business. The domestic kitchen became a production factory by day, and the dining room was given up to become a place where hand-made chocolate is crafted
