Happy New Year

We’re about to launch into a brand new year here at Choctails central and we’re really excited about 2016. I personally can’t wait to get back into the kitchen. We’ve already got orders which need to be fulfilled meaning our first week back is going to be a busy one.

Christmas and New Year was the usual hectic whirlwind of catching up with friends and family and eating and drinking far too much. We were lucky enough to catch up with Dan Wells, our tame racing driver, whilst he was back in the UK visiting his family. Always a pleasure to hear about the twists and turns of Dan’s racing career!

Given the excesses we’ve put ourselves through over the last few weeks, Mr D and I have decided a dry January is in order, with an excess of exercise, so tomorrow morning we’re back to 6am bootcamp sessions during the week and I’ve set myself a goal of running 160km during the month. I hope my motivation stays high, because I’m already feeling exhausted just thinking about it!

Choctails® was founded by husband and wife team Simon and Hilary Delamare. Simon's suggestion of putting cocktail flavours into chocolate took Hilary's chocolate-making hobby to new heights, until in May 2012, the decision was made to turn the hobby into a full time business. The domestic kitchen became a production factory by day, and the dining room was given up to become a place where hand-made chocolate is crafted
