This weekend we’ve been visiting Hamburg for the wedding of a very dear friend of ours. In fact, Juliana is practically family. Originally from Brazil, Juliana lived with us for just over a year to improve her English, before she moved to Hamburg in order to add German to her repertoire. Whilst there she met and fell in love with Evan, who’s American, so it’s been a fabulously multi-cultural weekend, with a few language barriers and a frantic search for our interpreters!
We’ve decided to stay an extra few days in Hamburg in order to see the city as well. I’m looking forward to a trip down the Reeperbahn, not least to walk in the hallowed footsteps of The Beatles.
The weather’s been great, and we’ve been well fed and watered, although I still haven’t had a hamburger, but I’m sure we’ll remedy that shortly.
