We’ve just returned from a relaxing week in Cape Verde, on the island of Sol and are fully charged and ready to go.
We did a little sightseeing, although there isn’t a huge amount to see on the rocky, volcanic island, but we got to float in the salt lake which sits inside a volcano.
We got to try the local spirit – a sugar cane brandy called Grogue. Your typical holiday spirit, that, had we bought some to bring home, we would have wondered why on earth we purchased it in the first place!
February is a very windy time of year in Cape Verde, and testament to that was the World Kite Surfing Championships going on whilst we were there. It was, however, lovely and warm, and we were well looked after at the resort.
So now it’s back to work and our next focus is Easter and our Spring Selection we’ve been working on over the last few months.
