It’s been a busy week, with a mid-week lunchtime event at a company in London, a few more last minute and urgent requests, and a late (or was it early) visit to the cinema.
Yesterday was the final Wivenhoe Farmers Market of 2015, so we decided to take a pitch for the morning and spent a very pleasant three hours catching up with people I haven’t seen in a while. The added bonus is the outdoor barbecue serving sausage and bacon rolls – top one of those with some of Willie’s Chillies Jam, or a Wonky Label Chilli sauce, and you’re set up for a good few hours of trading.
Thursday was Mr D’s birthday, so we arranged to see the 1 minute past midnight showing of The Force Awakens. We’re both big Star Wars fans, so we had to see the film at the earliest possible opportunity. We weren’t disappointed. Yes, we could probably sit and pick holes in dialogue and plot lines, but heck, I could do that for any movie I’ve seen. Truth is, for a piece of entertainment, it was great and well worth giving up a few hours of sleep for.
So that’s our last post for this year. We’ve still got a couple of trading days left, but we’re looking forward to a few days of R&R, and the opportunity to eat and drink way too much whilst we catch up with various friends and family.
Have a very merry Christmas and enjoy your chocolates.
