Second stop on the November rollercoaster has been the Northampton Winter Food Festival. It’s the first Winter Food Festival they’ve held in Northampton, and was at the County Cricket Ground. I was lucky to have an indoor pitch, as the weather was very cold, and I really hadn’t been looking forward to being in an outdoor marquee. We had a good weekend with plenty of people at the event, and I discovered some new spirits and liqueurs ready for January’s R&D sessions!
I was also gifted a Fatale Chilli. Mr D grows a variety of chillies each year, and always likes discovering new varieties. Given its name, I’m a little trepidatious. I like my food spicy, but I do have a limit ….
Packing up was much less stressful than last week and I was away by 5.30. Much more civilised to be home before 8pm. Even more so when Mr D had a goulash bubbling away on the hob awaiting my return. Happy girl!
