I have to confess, I’m not entirely sober.
Things did finally calm down in the kitchen, so we were able to get a batch of our January special edition chocolates made towards the end of this week. We’ve had our best Christmas yet, all thanks to you lovely people purchasing our chocolates. I hope they weren’t all gifts and that most of you got a chance to enjoy a few choctails of your own.
Thursday was our last working day, so we spent the afternoon deep cleaning the kitchen and putting everything away. I was on hand early on Friday in case we had any last minute orders, but we had to hot-foot it into London to celebrate Charlie’s 21st birthday. We had lunch at The Hawkesmoor steak restaurant and ate a lot of very rare beef. Definitely one I’d recommend for the carnivores amongst you.
Christmas Eve was a reasonably quiet day for us, although I was a little hyper, not knowing what to do with all my surplus energy!
Today I managed a short run first thing, before a Champagne breakfast. We had Christmas lunch at one of our village pubs. No washing up, but no left-overs either. And now, we’re relaxing on the sofa with yet more wine, and planning what to do with our next few days off.
Merry Christmas everyone. Peace and love xx
