February already? Crikey! Where did January go to? I’m pleased the mornings and evenings are getting lighter, but I’m hoping the weather gets a touch warmer soon. We’re quite lucky in Essex
in that we don’t get a lot of rainfall, and hence not a lot of snow. As a Yorkshire lass I’m used to a heavy overnight snowfall during the winter, and would think nothing of helping clear the driveway in order to get to school, so I find it quite amusing when Colchester grinds to a halt after a centimetre of the stuff, which has usually melted by 8 am. Hence I’m rather glad we’ve not had the snow so far this winter.
I toyed with the idea of doing a dryathlon in January again this year, but as the calendar began to fill up with social events I decided the idea was futile. All respect to everyone who managed to give up the drink for a month. I stuck to the dry white wine in support (I know. It’s pitiful…)
We’ve now got a couple of busy weeks ahead in the run up to Valentine’s Day and then we can have a short break before Mother’s Day and Easter preparations begin.
