I had a rare day away from the chocolate tanks last week at the annual World Chocolate Forum organised by Kennedy’s Confectionery. It was a great day of networking with other chocolatiers and some interesting and inspirational presentations.
Of particular interest was Paul A Young talking about what inspires him to come up with new flavours. A lot of what he was saying about his early days struck a chord with me, as he talked about working such long hours that you have no idea what’s going on outside.
We’ve now shipped our first order to Harvey Nichols and they should be in store in the next couple of weeks. It’s great watching the boxes go out of the door but then it’s back to restocking our ranges. No rest for the wicked!
