Back from Salon du Chocolat at Olympia

I've just got home from the long journey back from Salon du Chocolat at Olympia. Much as it's great driving through London, past the Royal Albert Hall, Buckingham Palace and down the Mall, it wasn't much fun being stuck on Tower Hill after a car caught fire on Tower Bridge.
Not what you need after four days away from home, but I got home eventually and I'm now feet up with a glass of wine. I really enjoy doing this show and it's good fun to meet an audience of chocoholics. We trialled our 6-chocolate stick boxes at the show and they were very well received. We took three selections - the Slamseys Gin collection based on Slamsey's fruit gins; the DJ Wines collection based on their fruit-based liqueurs and our Christmas collection. We're exploring the idea of having seasonal specials to complement our range of 12-chocolate collections. Our Christmas collection this year still contains our original four of the Sloe Gin, Mulled Wine, Christmas Pudding and Port & Stilton, and this year we've added the Snowball and a Sherry Trifle variety. These boxes are currently only available at our shows, so make sure you grab them when you see them as they're not currently sold online. divider

Hilary Delamare

Choctails® was founded by husband and wife team Simon and Hilary Delamare. Simon's suggestion of putting cocktail flavours into chocolate took Hilary's chocolate-making hobby to new heights, until in May 2012, the decision was made to turn the hobby into a full time business. The domestic kitchen became a production factory by day, and the dining room was given up to become a place where hand-made chocolate is crafted
