After a successful show last weekend, we’ve been restocking with a vengeance this week. During November we’ve got a show every weekend, and then two shows during the first 10 days of December, so with not much turnaround time in between the shows, we need to make sure we’re stocked and ready to go.
We’ve got planners coming out of our ears at the moment. There’s the yearly wall planner with all our key dates highlighted. Then there’s a monthly calendar which includes some additional details such as scheduled deliveries and basic planning. Our weekly planner is split into 30-minute slots to give us the most effective time-management for the week, and then there’s an order sheet and a ‘to do’ list. Time management is absolutely key at this time of year.
My running schedule is very sporadic at the moment, but as I’m dashing backwards and forwards from chocolate tank to fridge, to racks, to storage throughout the day, I am at least burning a few calories! I also get a daily walk to the Post Office. At the beginning of the year I set myself a target to run 1000km by the end of December. I’m reasonably on track for this, but I feel November will set me back a little and I’ll have to fit some long runs in between Christmas and New Year to achieve my goal!
